MSCCS has a lot in store for the final weeks before summer!

The Kindergarten Spelling Bee will be on May 3rd, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Join us in the social hall as we cheer on our spellers! Coffee and donuts will be served.

Teacher’s Appreciation Week is May 7th – 11th. The PTO has planned many events throughout the week to thank our awesome teachers for all of their hard work. Look out for our email blasts to learn how you can contribute.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be held on May 14th through May 18th. Students will be able to purchase books throughout the week, and a part of funds raised will go to our school. We are in need of volunteers to help our students purchase books, so if you are available please keep a look out for the sign up link in our email blasts.

MSCCS will be closed on Monday, May 28th for Memorial Day. Enjoy your long weekend!

Our End of the Year field trip will be to the Frost Science Museum for all Pre K3-5th grade students on May 31st, 2018. Please return the field trip form as soon as possible! There are a limited number of chaperones spots available, with priority going to our younger students. If you’d like to chaperone on this field trip, please return the filed trip form indicating so, along with the chaperone fee. Spots will not be held without the paid chaperone fee.

We will have our final practice for the Great Debate on Wednesday, May 30th at 6:00 PM in the church sanctuary. All debate students are expected to be present to this practice.

The Great Debate will be held on Thursday, May 31st here at MSCCS! All students should arrive to MSCCS at 6:00 PM. The MSCCS Debate team has worked so hard this school year and we are very proud of them. Good luck Debate Team! Please remember, all students are to wear their white oxford debate shirts, the debate blazer, the debate ascot/tie, and a khaki skirt or long khaki pants. Absolutely no shorts!

MSCCS will end the school year with a bang! We have several recitals planned, including dance, gymnastics, and music recitals. Dates for these recitals are to be announced!

We will end the year with our Kindergarten and 5th grade Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, June 7th at 10:00 AM. This is a wonderful time to commemorate on the year that has passed, and to bid farewell to our awesome 5th grade students! All parents are invited to attend this event.

Our Kindergarten and 5th grade students will also celebrate during their Graduation Field Trip on June 7th! Please fill out the field trip form and return them to the school office. If you’d like to chaperone on this field trip, please return the field trip form indicating so, along with the chaperone fee. Spots will not be held without the paid chaperone fee.

This year, MSCCS will be hosting a “Splashback Summer Camp!” Join us for a summer full of great times, awesome classes, and a whole lot of fun. Students will get to enjoy some of our many awesome enrichment classes, including dance, gymnastics, art, music, soccer, computers, cooking, Zumba and more! Each week will end with a “Water Day”! Students spend the morning splashing around, playing in the sprinklers, and enjoying our kiddie pools and water slide! After all that fun, they’ll cool off with a pizza party and movie day every Friday! Join us for one awesome summer!

Final report cards will be mailed home on Monday, June 11th! Please ensure that your home address is updated with the school office so you receive the final report card.

The last day of school will be on Friday, June 8th. To those who will not be returning next school year, we wish you and your family all the best! Please remember you will always have a home here at MSCCS. And for those that will return next school year, we can’t wait to see you in August! We hope you all have a fun, safe, and relaxing summer vacation!
